Midnapore College has introduced the Honours Course in Education from 2012 under the affiliation of Vidyasagar University. It was felt necessary to introduce this subject in the face of growing expectation from the emerging demand of the educational knowledge in the fields of School inspection, Career Counseling, Teachers training Programme, as well as Governmental Institutions, Research Innovation, and Educational Agencies. In response to the aspiration of students the College took initiative to impart educational teaching as the specialized branch to facilitate and empower them with the specialized knowledge of their surroundings and thus to contribute to educational advancement and also to prepare them to face the Competitive Exam more confidently.
