About the Department
Honours affiliation in Physics was obtained in 1926 and Morning Section was opened in 1967. The affiliation of the College with Calcutta University was shifted to that with Vidyasagar University on 1st June, 1985. Physics Department of our College puts a remarkable signature as a premier department for long under Calcutta University and is now under Vidyasagar University. Our students are well established in different area of society in different reputed academic as well as research institutions, administrations and industries both in India and abroad. Commendable academic performances it received the PG affiliation from 2004.
